Latest Updates from Our Project:

New tiers added and payment method alternatives
almost 8 years ago – Mon, May 02, 2016 at 09:33:25 AM

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Based on backer suggestions, I've added a few new tiers to the campaign to give you all a bit more options so that get you what you want and to hopefully save on shipping in the process. They are as follows:

  • Double packs of each raptor. $70 per set of 2, plus shipping ($12 for US and $40 for INT.)
  • 'King Raptor Pack' consisting of 6 raptor packs for a total of 18 figures (6 of each) for $600 plus shipping ($50 for US and $125 for INT.)

The King Raptor pack may be good for those running a store or if you just want to go in with your friends and save on shipping.

And one other matter that has come up a few times now is that some of our friends in the EU don't use credit cards and would still like to pledge. I brought this issue up to the people at Kickstarter and this is their suggestion:

'Hi David,

Thanks for writing in. Our payments provider, Stripe, does not currently accept JCB/Diners Club, Maestro, Visa Electron cards for all countries supported on Kickstarter. In order to pledge to a project, backers will need to use a credit or debit card connected to Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover (note: Discover Cards are accepted for US-based projects only at this time.). I apologize for any inconvenience that this might cause.

If they do not have another credit card, one alternative that some people use is to pledge using a prepaid credit card.

Please note you that if they choose to do so, the prepaid credit card must have a value greater than the amount of the pledge by at least $1. When pledging, our payment processor issues an authorization which can sometimes remain on the card until the time of the pledge's collection. A value greater than the amount of the pledge will ensure that the pledge can ultimately be collected normally.

That said, we're always working to improve the experience that both backers and creators have on Kickstarter. I'll share your feedback with the rest of the team in hopes of implementing new resources later down the line. Thanks for your understanding and please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.'

So I hope that helps give some of you an idea of how to proceed as far as that goes. As always I'm happy to hear your thoughts on the matter and if anyone has suggestions please comment below.

Alright, going into week two- more to be revealed soon!

Off to a great start!

WOW- what a great first 12 hours! Over $34,000 raised already! Thank you all so much for the love and support for this project- I'm truly humbled. While I'm here, I'd like to address a few items that have come up so far.

First, I have made the Mark Schultz signed print tier eligible for add-ons, so if you're interested in both the print and raptors, please pledge for the print since it's limited, and then add-on the amount needed to back additional items. It will work the same way for the post cards and also for when the stretch goals are unlocked *fingers crossed*. You'll be able to sort it all out with a survey sent to you at the end of the campaign.

Secondly- I am seeing a lot of people saying they'll pledge next week or later when they have money, but please keep in mind that you WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL THE CAMPAIGN ENDS. I don't know about you guys, but I want to get to those stretch goals as soon as possible, so if you know you're going to pledge, please do it sooner than later- it all takes out at the end either way.

Third item- I've seen a few people ask about 2 packs of different raptors. Say they only want two of the three, but they want to save on shipping. While I don't intend to make any additional tiers for the first three raptors, I will suggest that if you're in this boat, back the Raptor Pack and get all three. Once the figures become available, you can sell your extra raptor on the secondary market. In every case I've seen so far, Kickstarter backed action figures increase in value significantly on the secondary market so if you play your cards right, you may actually end up with a big discount in the end.

And lastly, yes, there will be an 'all in' option. This will happen once stretch goals are unlocked, and remember, you can change your pledge amount at anytime during the campaign.

Thank you again everyone, keep spreading the word and I'll be posting some cool updates very soon.
